Preschool helps in mainstreaming children with special needs such as those with autism, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment and mental retardation from the academic year of 2005 – 06. On an average 35 to 40 children are recommended for mainstream education every year.
Apart from curricular skill training, the preschool children also actively participate and win many laurels in extra-curricular and co-curricular events. They win gold and silver medals at the annual regional special Olympic meet at Mysore, as well as the talent competitions organised by Rotary club of Mysore in commemoration of International Day of Persons with Disabilities every year. |
